What is Microdermabrasion?
Our faces (and entire bodies) are constantly discarding 'dead' skin tissues which cannot be removed by everyday cleaning and this can lead to a 'dull' appearance of the skin. Microdermabrasion is a process whereby the dead outermost surface of the skin is safely removed.
How does Microdermabrasion Work?
Using a system of light abrasion with specialized equipment, ‘dead’ particles are removed, and in the same process vacuumed off the skin's surface. This procedure is not very painful and requires no anesthetic.
What Can Microdermabrasion Do For Me?
In addition to 'dead skin' removal, Microdermabrasion is used to remove sun-damaged skin. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin. It is also very effective and widely used to remove or lessen scars and eliminate dark spots on the skin.
Microdermabrasion can also be used for treatment of acne and fine wrinkles, stretch marks, and scars that result from moderate to severe acne.
